I get asked the question all of the time, "what type of law do you practice"? Here is a great opportunity for me to re-introduce myself to you. Although I've worked for several major corporations handling employment cases, creating and developing legal policies for almost 20 years and then recently in private practice with specialized training in litigation for employment/discrimination matters, civil rights, business strategies and personal injury cases, my biggest gift to the world is being a premier "solutions provider"! Being a competitive football player for many years (West Charlotte, NCCU Hall of Fame 2005) and my respect for humanity has been the magic in finding the right solution for each of my clients. This is what separates me from my competitors!
In 2009 we opened the doors of The Montgomery Law Firm, PLLC with the goal of providing the highest quality of legal services to individuals and businesses. Our firm's motto is "Practicing Law With Transparency and Excellence Without Excuse". We have never published a newsletter, so this is our first foray down this road. We hope that you will find our newsletters helpful, engaging and entertaining!
Old "Lawyering" is Dead!
The legal profession is in the midst of a paradigm shift. Individuals are changing the way that they use attorneys, while demanding more efficiency at far less cost than before. With the arrival of online legal companies and services, societal changes and access to information, lawyers all over the world are forced to change the way that they do business. Not because they have become less relevant, but the urgent need for easy, flat rate pricing and efficient services is necessary to keep up with demand. After practicing law for the past 25 years including the last 6 years in my own firm has helped me to re-evaluate the assumptions society has about lawyers and the clients we serve. Despite all of these challenges, people still need the assistance of good attorneys. I'm so excited to share with you in our next newsletter our newest concept! Stay tuned...
