My mother used to say, "You need to get outta that rut. What are you afraid of?" When I decided to launch the Monday Morning Lawyer, I had no idea what impact the newsletter might ultimately have on anyone who received it. Week after week I continue to receive very positive feedback about it and for that I am very grateful.

Dear Loyal Panther Fans, Clients, Friends and Family! With over 1000 views every Monday morning, I want to say thank you for reading the Monday Morning Lawyer! This has been a valuable tool in providing legal education and information to each of you. Just yesterday, I was told that a law professor used my newsletter as a tool to teach his students, therefore although my jaw dropping subject lines may be a bit unconventional, I really take my content serious!

Congratulations to my Carolina Panthers (and Denver Broncos)! The road to the Superbowl was not an easy one. From losing key players, dealing with fairweather fans, overly critical commentators, constant criticism of our young quarterback and one tough Superbowl game…sounds like the hurdles one might go through when running their own business! When I saw Cam Newton's recent appearance sporting Versace pants, I began to feel exuberant again about Superbowl 50. His decision to wear these trousers sends a message of confidence and courage! However, even though I liked his choice in pants, this bold move certainly can't happen on my playing field-the courtroom! Your appearance matters.

Dr. King's birthday reminds me of why I chose to become an attorney with a passion of helping others.
